Stewardship is an expression of discipleship; with the power to change how we understand and live out our lives. Disciples who practice stewardship recognize God as the origin of life, the giver of freedom, the source of all they have and are and will be. Beginning in conversion, change of mind and heart, this commitment is expressed not in a single action, nor even in a number of actions over a period of time, but in an entire way of life. It means committing one’s very self to the Lord. (U.S. Catholic Bishops’ Pastoral Letter: Stewardship: A Disciple’s Response, 2002) The Reid Group believes that stewardship is at the heart of the mature walk of faith for individual believers, parishes and congregations and their governing bodies (diocese, conference or synod). We offer a comprehensive approach to stewardship formation and development. By focusing on stewardship as a way of life, our processes lead participants to a greater understanding of and commitment to expressing their faith in concrete actions as good stewards.
